Extra footage from the Introduction to Painting Part 2 gives us a short fun lesson! This activity focuses on the color theory concepts we went over in Part 2 as well as Kandinsky's composition with circles and rings of color. There is a link to a slideshow and bit of history about Kandinsky to partner with this video lesson. The slideshow and history along with the video make this a complete art lesson for the creative kids in your life!
Here's a link to the Kandinsky slideshow. Enjoy!
Introduction to Painting Part Two introduces more Color Theory concepts while giving students the opportunity to create some lovely compositions! There are 2, actually 3, downloads that partner with this video lesson. Check them out and download them for a fuller experience with this next lesson!
Still Life Worksheet
There's a new, fun Back to School art activity up! These were fun to make. Coordinated pencils and notebooks will make you uniquely unique. Eden joined me for this video and we had a great time. We tried different patterns on our pencils, we did some trouble shooting, but most of all we had fun making patterns! Your creative kiddos will love having a useful tool that shows off their creativity! Have fun with this video!

I just finished up a video and template for the latest crown worn by Gal Gadot in the summer blockbuster, Wonder Woman! It was so much fun! I did have a hard time deciding if I would do the crown of MY childhood, worn by Lynda Carter, or the latest one. I decided to try the tricky new design, design #3. I will offer the Lynda Carter crown and the Justice League crown as a PDF file in the near future. Stay tuned!
Eden and I figured out how to create the 6 most important pieces that make this contemporary crown pop! The tutorial requires NO fancy materials. In fact, you probably have these things lying around in your kitchen and recycling bin! The result is fantastic! With a touch of black acrylic paint, I got my crown to look antiqued just like Gal Gadot's. If you would like the PDF for the latest version of the Wonder Woman crown, sign up on the home page of this website. Everyone who signs up will have the PDF appear in their inbox!
Now, to make some bullet-stopping bracelets!!
Subscribe to my YouTube channel to find art lessons and fun crafts to make all summer long! I want to help families steer the creativity of their kids so they have the tools to use when they are "SO BORED". Boredom is a state of mind that is so necessary for children to push through and find something creative to do! I have two lessons that are brand new that are up on my channel. They both use materials that are basically trash! What a great way to focus kids creativity than to reuse something! Have your kids try the Paul Klee Book Page Castle lesson and the Upcycled Fruit Box Aquarium lesson. I would love love love to see your results! If you try out the lesson, find me on Facebook and post a picture of your creations! Together with Tessa, I hope to chip away at those dog days of summer and offer some creative solutions for kids that are bored. Let's make stuff!!
